Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions small business owners ask most often.

It depends on scope — a simple WordPress site with light customization is a very different engagement than a custom plugin or a healthcare data integration. We provide clear, written proposals after the discovery call, so you know the cost upfront. No vague estimates, no surprise invoices.
Most small web projects take 2-6 weeks depending on complexity. Healthcare integration projects vary more widely because they depend on the systems involved and the data being exchanged. We outline a realistic timeline in the proposal, and we keep you updated as work progresses.
Yes. If your project involves sensitive information — and especially anything involving patient data — we’re happy to sign an NDA before we discuss details. We’ve worked with healthcare data for over a decade, and we treat confidentiality as a default, not an add-on.
We don’t disappear after launch. We hand off the finished work, walk you through what’s been built, and stay available for ongoing support, updates, and questions. We can work on a per-request basis or set up a simple retainer if you’d like predictable monthly support.
Both. We build new WordPress sites, but a lot of our work is improving, fixing, or extending sites that already exist — performance issues, broken plugins, redesigns, custom features, integrations. If your current site isn’t working the way you need it to, that’s a great place to start.
Probably not — but it depends on the project. MTS is a focused operation, which means the person scoping your project is the same person doing the work. For most small business websites and many healthcare integration projects, that’s an advantage: you get direct communication, deep context, and no handoffs to junior staff. For very large enterprise engagements, we’ll be upfront about whether MTS is the right fit — and refer you to trusted partners if not.
Tell us anyway. With 30 years of IT experience across hardware, networking, software development, and integrations, we’ve seen a lot. If your project is outside our core focus areas, we’ll either take it on, suggest a trusted partner, or help you scope what you actually need. No hard sell, no awkward “let me get back to you on that.

QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE YOU HIRE A DEVELOPER
FREE GUIDE: Questions to ask before you hire a developer
A practical, no-jargon checklist for small business owners who need to hire technical help — and don’t know what to look for.
Hiring a developer shouldn’t feel like a leap of faith.
Most small business owners have been burned by a developer at least once — missed deadlines, surprise costs, work that doesn’t quite fit, and then silence after launch. It doesn’t have to be that way.
This guide gives you the questions that reveal whether a developer is the right fit before you sign anything. No technical background required.
Inside the guide:
- 25 questions to ask any developer before hiring
- Red flags that signal trouble early
- What “good” answers actually sound like
- How to compare proposals even if you don’t speak the language
